Co-requisite per Semester: (Students should make every effort to be enrolled in a connected class each semester they are in the youth apprenticeship.) One trimester of a connecting course is required.

Certifications: Automotive Youth Educational Systems (AYES), Certificate of Completion - ASE Student Certification, ASE Certification

Course Description:  The Transportation, Distribution, and Logistics Mobile Equipment Maintenance Youth Apprenticeship (YA) integrates school-based and work-based learning to instruct students in employ-ability and occupational skills defined by Wisconsin industries. Students may choose from a variety of pathways in the T, D, L, YA. These include: Auto Collision, Auto Technician, Diesel Technician, Logistics/Supply Chain Management

Auto Tech youth apprentices will be required to complete a minimum of 450 work hours for a Level One (1-year) YA program or a minimum of 900 work hours for a Level Two (2-year) program. The student receives a state-issued skill certificate upon successful completion of the program.
Special Notes:  Students must apply to the program and meet academic and attendance requirements along with obtaining consent of CTE instructor. Also, students must furnish their own transportation plus proof of driver's license.
