Course Description: The agriculture, Food and Natural Resources Youth Apprenticeship involves careers in the planning, implementation; production, management, processing and/or marketing of agricultural commodities and services. Students need to possess a strong work ethic and enjoy working with animals, growing plants or working with the environment.

Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources Youth Apprenticeships will be required to complete a minimum of 450 work hours for a Level One (1-year) YA program or a minimum of 900 work hours for a Level Two (2-year) program. The student receives a state-issued skill certificate upon successful completion of the program.

Special Notes:  Students must apply to the program and meet academic and attendance requirements along with obtaining consent of CTE instructor. Also, students must furnish their own transportation plus proof of driver's license.
