Academic & Career Planning

Academic and Career Planning, or ACP, is a student-driven, adult-supported process in which students create and cultivate their own unique and information-based visions for post-secondary success, obtained through self-exploration, career exploration, and the development of career management and planning skills.

ABOUT ACADEMIC & CAREER PLANNING (ACP)

ACP IS A LIFELONG PROCESS OF EXPLORING

  • Who am I?

  • Where am I going?

  • How do I get there?

It is a student-centered process of developing workplace values, skills, personal qualities, and knowledge of one's postsecondary pathway.

Elkhorn Area High School graduates create an Academic and Career Planning ePortfolio as a portable document that demonstrates their readiness for postsecondary education and/or employment success.

EAHS ePortfolios include an introduction, review of self-knowledge assessments, career exploration, academic and co-curricular highlights, certifications, work-based learning experiences, service learning, and a resume.
